April 15, 2005 the concert hall Casa da Música in Porto, Portugal, is inaugurated. The concert hall with a capacity of 1250 seats has already a good reputation with respect to concert hall acoustics. The hall, designed by the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (Rem Koolhaas and Ellen van Loon) has the traditional shoe box shape. The materials applied to create the acoustics are not standard for this type of buildings. Striking for the concert hall is the sinus-shaped glass at the front and rear wall of the hall. These windows must perform as well with respect to sound insulation as to diffuse the sound. Also new are the movable technical bridge, the transparent inflatable canopy and the curtains in front of the big windows. With the curtains it is possible to create acoustical conditions for amplified music in the hall. In the lecture the architectural concept of the concert hall and the building will be elucidated. The acoustical approach will be presented and explained.

以“聚焦此时，坐拥未来”美誉之称的新加坡启汇城是由地产开发商JTC 集团正在开发的一个大型项目。其位置是在新加坡中心大型填海区的一个200 公顷工业区，波那维斯达（由新加坡的纬度区来命名的）以北是扎哈•哈迪德建筑设计公司（Zaha Hadid ）的作品。该新建项目预定在未来20 年内逐步完成建设，将容纳生物医学科学、信息通讯科技（ICT ）和传媒产业。
